My summer bass fishing efforts continue during my road trip to Chicago. I snuck away from the in-laws for a couple of hours to do a little bass fishing at the Three Oaks Recreation Area on Crystal Lake in IL. It was a short drive to see what kind of bass fishing Illinois had to offer, and it did not disappoint! Crystal Lake is appropriately named with it’s crystal clear water, so the drop shot was the obvious weapon of choice. It found me a quick limit of chunky bass & now I know a great spot to fish for my next visit to in-laws!
