How to Fish for Klutina River Red Salmon

In this video, Scott Maclean, a fisheries biologist for the Alaska Department of Fish & Game, shows how to fish for red (sockeye) salmon in the Klutina River. He details where to fish, what type of gear to use, and demonstrates the fishing technique often referred to as ‘flossing’. In addition, he discusses the regulations and demonstrates the difference between a legally-hooked fish and a foul-hooked fish. Produced by Erik Anderson – ADF&G Sport Fish Division Region III. Largemouth Bass Underwater Big Bass Dreams Underworld

Narration by Oliver Ngy

Description –

A “deeper” look into the biology and ecosystems underwater across North America, focusing on the basic habits, tendencies and behaviors that give us better insight into the worlds by which we are all so fascinated by. Big Bass Dreams takes you through an underwater realm seldom explored and documented, the one in our very backyards. Learn about the basics about important prey species, the target sport fish species themselves, and the different environmental conditions in which we must decipher as we continue “Piecing the Puzzle” on each and every outing.

This installment of the series features the Largemouth Bass (Micropterus salmoides) in an underwater series featuring wild, public water fish in their natural habitat. Interesting to observe the way these fish position and maneuver through overhanding trees, sunken bushes, fallen timber and aquatic vegetation. Take note of the different species also inhabiting the same types of cover and really take a long look in order to better understand the underwater world.

We’ve kept the narration and voice over out of this particular video so as not to distract you from the subject.

We are actively challenging both ourselves and our viewers to elevate our game in order to become better fishermen. We hope you enjoy the series and make sure to subscribe for NEW content uploading frequently! #BigBassDreams

Catching a BIG Bass – AMAZING UNDERWATER VIDEO(Bed Fishing)

The bass are on beds already here in Texas and this big one was the first I had seen this year. When bass are spawning they clear out circular patches on the bottom of the body of water in rocky hard bottom areas. They then stay there until the eggs hatch and guard them. This can be very difficult to get the bass to commit to any sort of lure as they are not looking to eat but protect their eggs. But often times persistent pestering of the bass will anger it into biting and that’s when you catch them!

Alabama Rig 25 lbs of Bass in 2 Casts

Watch me catch 25 pounds of largemouth bass in two casts while bass fishing on lake fork. The fish that were caught included a 9lb 12oz beast using the ever popular Alabama Rig or Umbrella Rig. I attached some Lake Fork Trophy Lures swim baits with a Dobyns Rod and 20lb LFT Fluorohybrid Pro line. This was filmed on the famous Texas bass fishing lake, known for it’s big bass and the potential to catch a huge bass at any time.
