Catching Big Bass at Cedar Creek, Huge Largemouth at :45 Seconds!

Catching Big Bass at Cedar Creek lake Texas, March 30th and 31st.!

Huge Largemouth at :45 Seconds!

Was working in Athens Texas for 2 weeks this past spring and decided to pull my bass boat down to work with me the last week there. Glad I did!
I caught a huge 7 1/2 to 8 lb largemouth (scale weighed a 10 lb bag of potatoes at 8.15 lbs when I got home) and a 4+ pounder too.
Two days of fishing I caught my limit in under 4 hours of fishing each day. Bags of 18-19 pounds the first day and almost 12 pounds the final day.
I caught most of the keepers both days on a Strike King white/chart spinner bait, a #Keitech Impact paddle tail rigged on a ball head and a #Zman Chatterbait with a Fat Impact 4.8 Keitech in Sexy Shad color trailer.

Water temp in the mid 60’s so spawn was on, though I found some pre-spawn and post-spawn fish also.
Biggest was 7.5 to 8 lb female and a 4-4.5 lb male.
Caught 5 keepers, 3 over 2- 2.5 lbs,and a 4+ big one and a couple of non-keepers, not quite 15 inches long on Monday.

Did so well on Monday, decided to fish the 31st also, and caught a limit of mostly 2 -2.5 pound males.

As this was my first time fishing Cedar Creek Reservoir in East Texas, I was quite pleased with a 2 day total of almost 30 pounds of Texas lunkers.
