How To Fish A Float N Fly For Black Crappie & Largemouth Bass

Hey Folks. Here’s some background info to lead up to why I made this video.

We had a Severe Storm Warning for essentially all of Western Washington. This was supposed to be a historical storm that broke records with Wind Speeds reaching 70 MPH. Because of this, I planned on not taking the boat out. What really pissed me off was that my area got absolutely no wind. I was furious on saturday morning when the current weather report said 38 MPH winds and I saw absolutely no wind when I looked outside. The weather was perfect all weekend. Consistent overcast with scattered showers. I faced really big fronts the last 4 to 5 weekends in a row. Then the one weekend that the weather is perfect, I don’t actually get to go out.

Well, it turns out that I had about an hour to get out a fish a pond to try to put together a video for you guys. It just so turns out that this was my best day ever at this pond and one technique shined. I started out targeting largemouth with senkos and a grub. But that went nowhere in 10 minutes. So then I switched to a float n fly and in the next 40 minutes, I caught 9 Black Crappie and 5 Largemouth bass!
